I think they'd have a fun and entertaining dynamic. Not only do they physically look like the same age, they're also mentally the same age. Garf being dumb, loud, and rowdy goes well with Lia being well mannered but also dumb and playful. I think he could bring out the mischievousness she had as a kid. They're both very strong demihumans that mainly depend on their instincts to fight, so just imagine them teaming up or playfully sparring together.
