@rcusseau / are you ready for it?
there's only one bed. the words sound so... strange to her ears. but then again, doesn't everything sound strange lately? doesn't she feel strange in her own skin? moving, walking, talking. all of it feels so extremely foreign, and if she was in the right frame of mind, she'd know that it was anxiety --- making her skin feel stretched tight, smothering out what little bit of life she had left in her. but she's not in the right mind frame to deal acknowledge that, hasn't been for weeks now; out here, alone, in the woods. wandering aimlessly, trying to find something that makes her feel... anything. it's not as easy as she had hoped it would be when she had walked away from bellamy and camp jaha. she still saw the dead, out of the corner of her eyes and when she slept. it's why she looks and feels like death, with deep dark circles under her eyes and different scrapes and bruises all over her skin. clarke's forgotten what normal sleep is like, hasn't managed more than a few minutes here and there since she before the mountain. before lexa walked away. before finn's blood covered her hands. before, before, before.. she blinks, realizing that she had completely zoned out and left the words hanging in the air. licking dry, chapped lips, she lifts tired eyes to look at the older woman. arms hug closer to her chest as she shakes her head, shoulder lifting in a half shrug that makes her seem years younger. "i can sleep on the floor --- really, it's not that big of a deal."
