Competition makes us better// @rctire

Rivals were always something you had to have. Without rivals then you don’t have that push to make yourself better. Temari was a dancer at konoha dance studio. she was one of the best dancers at the studio. The other top dancers were shikamaru nara, kiba inuzuka, and hinata hyuga. Temari was the best of the girls and shikamaru was the best for the guys. They were constantly butting heads trying to see who was the best.
The dancers at the studio were all required to do this duo competition. The director was naming pairs until he stopped. The silver haired man sighed. “Temari and Shikamaru is the last pair. no changes, no complaining. the rules are clear pick a already choreographed dance to take and interpret. We perfer iff it has a video so youtube is your friend here.” He hums. “now get with your partners and discuss. we want your dances by the end of today.”
While everyone else scurried to their partners and started discussing temari didn’t move a muscule. She was listening in on the others. Kiba and hinata were a threat and might take the top if they pick a good song. it didn’t help that kiba and hinata were friends while temari and shikamaru were probably gonna argue. They actually chose quickly. kiba and hinata chose adale’s i miss you, choreography by kyle hanagami.
The more she listened the more sappy lovey songs and dances were chosen. She sighs and walks over to the dark haired man, analysing her memory of dances to see what would fit thier relationship. Tey had times where they enjoyed each other’s company but they also fought alot. Cute dances wouldn’t be the right choice. Especially if they want to stand out.
She sat by the man and huffs, taking out her phone and scrolling through some videos. “I have two ideas at the moment. Most people are doing cutesy dances that show a healthy relationship and love. So we should make ourselves stand out with a dance showing something more mean, or an abusive relationship of some sort. we can pull it off with how we clash.” She hums. She shows his two videos. first, ‘ james bay-let it go -dance l a break up story’ she points out a few spots where they could make it better. Then she shows him ‘Greed l A story’. “I’m fine with either one so you pick, then we can get put down and start practicing” She sighs.
