Arching an eyebrow, Draco glanced up when Pansy fell down on the couch across from him, another - vaguely familiar - brunette sitting down next to her. His eyebrow rose a little higher when Pansy stared at him for a moment, closing the book he was reading. âWhat?â Pansy was his best friend, but she was also a girl, and that made her just a little strange sometimes. Pansy shrugged in reply, and with a roll of his eyes, he turned his attention to the brunette beside her.
âMargy, right?â He was pretty sure he had her name wrong, but he couldnât, for the life of him, remember what it actually was, though pretty sure it sounded something like âMargyâ. He was also pretty sure that she was in his year, but heâd never exchanged more than a âhelloâ and âgood morningâ with her, usually staying a little more within his own group of friends. Granted, that group of friends consisted of basically all the guys in his year, and Pansy. Pansy was the outlier, and she seemed to enjoy that status.
âI think I sat next to you in Transfigurations one time. I think that old hag McGonagall nearly got a heart attack when she saw you transform that teacup into a rat on your first try.â He smirked, leaning back into the pillows. âIâm sure she wouldâve loved for one of her own little Gryffindors to be her star-student.â
