Talia and Lydia search for Rory in the woods, unsure of what they will find.
Rory: Rory lied on the nemeton as Surtr watched over him, as his mind drifted in the void until he was met with a figure one whom explained everything. As the boy learned of his past, his future, his body began a transformation, reverting the mana inside him, and curing his body of illness. The tree was the catalyst for this, awakening his powers. Once his eyes shot open, a shockwave surged, and he sat himself straight gasping for breath. “What the?” he looked around finding himself staring at the giant. “Oh, hi I’m alive, and I have some really crazy shit to tell you.
Talia: Talia had been wandering around the woods with Lydia for who knows how long, not caring how long it took. She was going to stay out there all night if that meant finding her brother. She glanced at Lydia hopelessly as her eyes started to water. It was the first time she was ready to cry since she was at Satomi's, and she knew if she started now the tears wouldn't stop. Reality was finally setting in, he was gone. She turned to Lydia and noticed her friend's facial expression change slightly. "What is it?"
Lydia: Lydia was just about to tell Talia that they should head home and maybe plan a funeral for Rory when she started to hear his voice in her head. Then she felt her heart skip a beat and Lydia stopped dead in her tracks. Part of her wondered if she should even tell Talia, because she didn't want to get the girls hopes up but something felt different, and Lydia was sure of it. "Tal, I think.." Lydia paused, closing her eyes and trying to concentrate. She could see Rory so clearly in her head and hear his voice just as clear, talking to what appeared to be the giant that took him. Then she noticed the nemeton. "I think he's alive. And I know where to find him." Lydia finally said as she grabbed Talia's hand and started sprinting through the woods, letting her mind and instinct take her where they needed to go.
Rory: Rory felt as if he was crazy, as he spoke with the giant, caressing his face though their sized were extremely different. "Thanks for looking after me, even after all these years." Roroy mumbled as he pressed his features on the giant's hand. The jottun simply smiled, before returning to his cold facial expression. "Guess, I should tell my friends that I'm alive, and that well they don't need to worry anymore." he huffed out hoping to see someone near. "Hello, can anybody hear me?" he began to yell out.
Talia: Talia immediately followed Lydia, not caring where they walked as she focused her senses on their surroundings. She heard someone calling out and instantly knew that it was her brother. She grabbed Lydia's hand and followed the banshee to whatever she was sensing, and eventually they ended up at the nemeton. It still blew Talia's mind that this tree stump was out there and she was only able to find it if she was with someone like Lydia. It was fascinating yet terrifying. When they finally made it, she saw Rory and instantly ran into him, pulling him into a tight hug. She couldn't care less if it was too tight, he was alive. A few tears streamed down her cheeks as she held onto him and sighed in relief. "Oh my God, don't.." She trailed off before pulling away and slapping him upside the head, then raising her voice. "Don't ever do that again!"
Lydia: When Lydia saw Rory at the nemeton, the banshee couldn't believe it. And she certainly couldn't help the smile that was on her face as Talia reunited with her brother. Moments like that made all of the pain and torture that came with being a banshee worth it. Moments like that felt amazing for Lydia. She actually helped find Rory, and helped Talia reunite with him. "Are you alright? What the hell happened?" Lydia finally spoke up, taking a step closer towards them both.
Rory: When he saw his sister pull him into a tight hug, he didn't know how exactly to process it. He died right in front of her eyes, and he couldn't image the pain she must have went through. So he just held her in return until, Lydia spoke up. "Well, um guys this is Surt or Surtr any is fine." he said pointing to the giant behind him. "He's a jottun, which means he's a fire giant. Norse mythology and all that. He's the king of the fiery realm, and well pretty much a god in his own right." Rory explained. "As for me, well my past me came to talk to me. Wow that's confusing. Okay, anyway. My past self explained to me who I am. I am the reincarnation of the great witch west, who at time reigned with three others. Two of the witches plotted against West for having the power to stop them. North, and South managed in killing West, but East intervened and cast a spell so powerful that my soul would be reincarnated through many passages of time.I also was told that I would retain the powers of my past lives. One of which well, I'm basically immune to demons since I steal their powers, and sort of...It's easier if I show you later on. The other I can't use unless I have certain items, so that's a bust. The one I have myself besides just regular magic is pretty cool." Rory said as he bit into his thumb drawing blood, and making it spill out forming it into a blade in his hand solidifying it. "So, yeah I'm a witch, also I have to go tell Liam I'm alive We have a date."
Talia: Talia held onto her brother one more time before finally pulling away and really looking at him. He looked... healthy. Really, really healthy. As he explained everything that happened, she found it starting to make a bit of sense. There was still a lot she was confused about, but she would ask him about that later. Right now she was just glad he was alive. She silently watched as he made the blade out of his own blood and furrowed her eyebrows, not sure what to make of it. Not only was her brother alive, but he was a witch. At his last comment she cracked a smile and nodded as she grabbed onto his hand, then looked at Lydia. "Thank you, Lyds.." She said quietly as she bit her lip. She was so grateful that this played out how it did when it could have gone so much worse.
Lydia: Lydia understood everything Rory was talking about as the pieces of the puzzle started to fit together. They touched upon the research earlier but now that Lydia had the entire story, everything made sense. Either way, she was just so grateful that her friend was alright. Maybe even better than alright, considering the fact that he now knew he was a witch. A powerful one, too. "You know I'm always happy to help." Lydia said with a small smile, looking back between Talia and Rory. "Why don't we all head back home? I could use a shower and I believe Rory has a date he can't miss." She teased
Talia: Talia nodded and laughed softly at Lydia, then tugged her brother's hand. She was so relieved that he was still here, she didn't want to let go. Not yet, not even until they got back to the house. "Come on," She said to him as the three of them walked out of the woods and back to Lydia's place.
