She couldn't believe it... It didn't make any sense. The last time Emily saw Aesop, he was of sound mind and body while working to be a doctor. They knew each other from school... Maybe they weren't the closest of companions, given that he was in the doctor branch and she the nurse branch, but Emily thought she knew him rather well...

"Aesop.??" Emily softly said as she stared at the patient before her. She just recently started working at this mental hospital as a nurse. This wasn't exactly what she really wanted to go into, but she needed the experience to get into the medical path she wanted to be on. This was a temporary solution. So, naturally, she wasn't expecting to meet anyone she already knew...

Joseph wasn't bothered at all by what Aesop said. Perhaps such words should cause at least a bit of sting, but not for the Hypnotist. His patient wasn't well, and he hadn't been for quite a long time now. He shouldn't bother worrying about the angry statements of a mere patient. Aesop was just upset Joseph foiled his plans yet again. He may even forget all about this come tomorrow.

The doctor had worked to gain Aesop's trust, even getting him to admit to a part of today's escape plan. Naturally, Joseph used this knowledge to stop the attempted 'escape'. So of course Aesop was angry. Joseph predicted this outcome, but it still wasn't a good thing that his patient no longer trusted him...

This was getting very tedious... Joseph could hardly do his job anymore. He was constantly having to essentially babysit this patient and keep him from trying to escape the asylum. It was clear why the Hypnotist was the one stuck with Aesop--no one else wanted to deal with this nonsense, so somehow they placed it in Joseph's hands. How annoying...

"This is getting neither of us anywhere." Physical punishment seemed to no longer have any effect on the patient, so other methods need to be explored in order to stop the behavior. Communication may help... But with a patient as unreachable as the one before him, Joseph had half the mind to simply strap him to his bed and manually prevent him from leaving...

“So. This is the owl’s nest... I guess, make yourself at home.”

 “  extra, extra -- !  “  but no one really bites. the newspaper copy he’s been holding has already been dotted by snowflakes. with a sigh he hangs it over his head as cover. the citizens are straying elsewhere, huddling inside the diner at the corner, as the occasional car zips on by.
