Hello my lovely Rom Com members!
I’ve been receiving feedback the past few days, which is great! It’s super helpful to hear from you guys and make this the best environment possible going forward.
That being said, I’d like to take this opportunity to give a general reminder of some of the rules.
First, I know this is an AU and things are much different from canon Glee. However, there is definitely a line when it comes to general characterization. These aren’t OCs so personalities are still there. We want to make sure we’re staying in character and can hear the voice of that canon character. I find that watching old episodes really helps me nail this down when I need help or inspiration.
Second, the rules also outline including everyone. This has been great, but while we love growth and development for our own characters, I’d also like to give a general reminder that replies should not be one-sided and should offer some substance for other characters to be able to grow and develop too. The point of a group setting is using interactions and relationships between characters to move forward!
One last thing: remember that the movies are a guideline and should not be the entire basis of your character. These are fictional people we’re writing, but people nonetheless and they have substance, which comes from you, the writer!
Everyone here is amazing and I’ve really loved writing with all of you. But as I said, feedback is always appreciated and taken into consideration seriously, so these are things I felt would be a good general reminder for everybody going forward.
