I am absolutely at my limit with this Razer headset. I did not even pick it out, it was a gift, from two Xmas’s ago. It runs somewhat acceptablely without its companion software Razer Synapse, but not at a rate of performance that is good for streaming. So I install the software, and it F***s up everything and any thing it possibly can.
It began with Discord. A gaming chat network. So like isn't Razer designed around gamers? Whats the deal? Its completely incompatible with Discord when Razer Synapse is active. Repeat, don't even bother opening voice chat in Discord with Razer Synapse installed. & On a Mac, this monster of an app is so aggressive it plants itself in your menu bar! Achieving a permeant state of running, as well, a restart is required for an install and uninstall. But its funny that a gaming headset has known problems with a game chat. (yes its known, I talked with Discord support)
This is only the half of the story. I wanted to reinstall Razer Synapse, (temporarily of course) so I could stream. This time on install, my Wacom Cintiq Drivers became disabled. Like completely disabled, as if never installed. I tried for 2 hours installing different drivers from Wacom, even the one I had saved from the last time Razer did this. Nothing. I uninstalled Razer, and reinstalled Wacom, but I still have no use of my pen.
Bottom line, Razer only wants to work with Razer. Razer is destructive, selfish, and uncaring. Do not get it ever.
