Shenzhousaurus was another basal ornthiomimosaur from the Aptian age of the Early Cretaceous, about 125 million years ago. It was found in the Yixian Formation in Liaoning, China. It is only known from a partial skeleton, though it was found with gastroliths in its stomach, indicating that it was more herbivorous than not, though some carnivorous animals have been found with gastroliths, and thus its confirmed diet is uncertain. It also had teeth in its lower jaw, marking it as a basal member of this group. It was estimated to be about 1.5 meters long.
