As now the disabled person in my friend group with the most amount of “experience and wisdom” about being disabled- It feels werid. I would never call myself an advocate in the way I actually do shit. Yeah i’ll explain my disability if im feeling nice but the next time someone asks me why I have a cane in public i will hit them.
Yet here I am coaching my best friend as she deals with the reality and situation that comes with a invisible illness (Raynaud’s due to frostbite/abuse) and I feel so so fish out of water-
Like i totally understand how she’s feeling- But I also know that what helped me was seeing other people with my disability allowed to be grumpy and talking bout it. so anyone know support groups/tags for people with raynauds due to abuse?
