I’m thankful that @lablacksmith added a musical tribute to the life of Wayne Holmes to his Forest Hills Jazz Event, doing the Ray Charles Revue similar to the way that Wayne would have done it. Nobody portrayed Ray Charles the way Wayne did. He had it on point. I just became his Raylette along with Spice and Tanesha, two weeks ago. If anything could make you smile it was seeing him get busy on that organ and start singing “America!” Tonight was different. Sad. Brought memories to the minds of those who knew him.
