Kotobukiya had a display at Anime Expo, and I got a chance to look at some models I was interested in!

In the first two pictures is the Ray Falx, part of Kotobukiya's Frame Arms line. Of course I love the way it looks, I am a sucker for any kind of mech with wings, especially these as the come with extra parts to make them even cooler (not pictured though). When I first saw it I held off on getting it cause of the price, and then found I had missed out on it completely.  At first I was disappointed but after seeing it in person I was... underwhelmed. For that hefty of a price tag I expected a lot more. Its smaller than I expected, like the size of a 1/144th Gundam. The colors it was molded in were also very disappointing, the gold was that ugly cheap looking gold used in gundam models. While that is easily fixable with paint, that is not something I expect of a $70 kit. Even with wing parts included, I think it worth half of that. (I’m not even sure that price has them included).

I’m still kinda interested in the Jagd Falx, which doesn’t have the cool extra wing parts, but is also a bit cheaper. They didn’t have one on display though. Not sure I'd get that one either as its still more than what I think its really worth. I’d like to hear from people who have actually built Frame Arms kits though, if they are at least good for posing and fun to build.
