What if the reason Namaari is so emotionally overwhelmed by Sisu's presence and indeed the whole idea of dragons is because she is a descendant of Pranee, Sisu's shapeshifting sister who was in love with Namaari's ancestor (who was also a woman because if I can make it lesbian I will make it lesbian). They had a child via dragon magic who had the ability to shapeshift into a dragon but then Pranee died and that baby never learned of her power. 500 years later and the power is within Namaari but she has no idea until all the dragons come back and this dormant ability to shapeshift into a dragon starts to awaken because there's dragon magic back in the world!
