This is my favorite episode right now. This is exactly what I'd hoped TBB would be: going to planets (especially ones we saw in TCW) and seeing the way the Empire is expanding and being resisted.
I loved seeing Raxus/Raxulon. The design is gorgeous and I loved it in TCW, but it just looks amazing now! I was also really interested in this episode because it’s specifically about how the former-Republic relates to the Separatists, their Clone War enemies.
I also always like when you see the glimpses of politics. I really liked the fact that TBB are carrying a prejudice against the Separatists, though I think they could actually explore that with a little more intentionality, particularly with Echo, since he’s truly been in this fight from the start.
Still, I liked that in more subtle ways, you could see that TBB come to recognize that the Senator is just trying to do what's right and keep his people safe, and that the way the Clone Wars defined their relationship with the Separtists isn't really at play anymore because they’re all victims of the Empire.
I'm pleased that Shelby Young is back in Star Wars. She played Leia in Forces of Destiny and has done a couple other SW things, but this is her debut for a true SW animated tv show, and I’d love to see more Captain Bragg! If you’re not following her on Twitter and Instagram, do so! She’s so talented and has gone viral a couple times with videos showing off her voice acting tricks and talents!
