Ok you said that Sargent is very protective when it comes to Indie, but is he going to go all overprotective older brother when she says she's dating someone????
Haha… I don’t think so.
His overprotective drive is way different than Vi’s (and girlfriend will kick whoever’s ass needs kicking).
Sargent has zero ass kicking skills and the best he’d be able to do is a feeble tongue-lashing.
He doesn’t particularly know how to be angry with another human being either, so it’d be a really polite tongue lashing.
Like it’d either go:
“don’t you dare hurt my sister- but also, I’m so happy for you, she’s a precious muffin. PLEASE DO NOT BREAK HER HEART! In doing so, you will break my heart!”
or an overly serious “so what are your intentions with my sister?” talk.
Really, it’s just a lot of precious begging for mercy because he can’t bear the thought of his sister hurt.
he just wants her to be happy, and he spends enough quality time with Blue, Indie, and Violet (and the ladies of 300 Fox Way) to know know not to be that guy who makes threats to new boyfriends.
But I think you’ll find the current situation will cause more confusion than whatever he was expecting.
And really, the whole “wait… what?!” situation makes for a bit of a delayed reaction because he’ll find he actually can’t be overprotective big brother like he imagined he’d be had she started dating boys. (which haha kitten is so not right now…)
But I mean, it’ll definitely come up in Moonage… both Gansey and Sargent will have a rather colourful reaction to Indie entering the dating game… ;)
