Review: Christ, this was so fucking funny. I kind of expected a simple Thorin-is-a-dumbarse, Bilbo-doesn’t-let-it-get-to-him reveal with typical shenanigans at the end but the dialogue is so snappy and fun that it made the whole scene a riot. Bilbo is pretty chill, though thoroughly unimpressed with that foot jammed in Thorin’s throat, and when either of them stop taking the piss long enough to say something genuine it comes across as so honest and loving it will make you smile to yourself.

The slowly growing attraction and romance between Thorin and Bilbo is both sweet and amusing.
