the new face is really a sight for sore eyes, especially these days. it’s not as if goodsprings never gets a wanderer or two, but guests seldom stay for more than a couple of days. “ you’ve really livened up the town since you got here, ” ruby tells him, popping open a (fairly warm) bottle of nuka-cola—he doesn’t seem like much of a day drinker—and setting it down in front of him. “ on the house. ” it seems like everyone’s just handing him stuff; food, clothes, ammo. it’s not as if they can really spare it, but they all just want to express their gratitude. between bandits and mutants, this place was beginning to go to shit. “ i don’t mean to pry, but why have you stuck around? ” it can’t just be all the free stuff. obviously it’s a bonus considering supplies and currency are scarce, but surely he can’t be enjoying himself somewhere so boring. “ anywhere’s gotta be better than here. ” not that ruby would even know, really, since she’s resided in goodsprings for as long as she can remember.

someone ran a stop sign and hit my car at like 60 mph. i thankfully had just gotten a new car so that helped. but fuck. i have a small brain bleed so that’s... fun.
