(Small editor note: The more I draw Strawberry the more I adore her as her original design is so charming it transcends styles, she’s so fun to draw.)
Now here’s the nitty gritty where I explain a lot of the story and motif reasons of why I designed Leaf, both from the games’ stories and my own personal analysis of its themes, with pictures of course!
A main tree I specifically took inspiration for Leaf’s design as there are many different trees with a lots of unique leaves to choose from, was Elder trees.
another fun thing to associate with Leaf’s character was make to their animal symbolism a snake to compliment and contrast their best friend strawberry and her strawbunnies.

Strawberry would love Stardew Valley!
Blueberry would play Overwatch religiously. She also plays Stardew Valley with Strawberry.
Raspberry would like puzzle games similar to Baba is You or I think she would also appreciate point and click puzzle games. Maybe I have no mouth but I must scream? (Never played it myself, just guessing)
Inquiry isn’t much of a gamer but I fear for the shut-in she would become if someone put her in front of an ace attorney game.
Cherry Pie and Butcher like Cooking Companions because of course they would.
Memorial likes LSD dream simulator. I feel like if he was more mentally stable he would really like Omori.
Buttons would like the story of Little Nightmares but I think they would enjoy playing games like dress to impress or any dress up game more.
Noah would stay he likes something really normal like call of duty but secretly his favorite video game is life is strange and he refuses to tell anyone.

2. Curses are formed by some sort of misfired spell or other magical cause. They’re usually born from strong emotions like hate, fear, or love. Not all curses are bad, some actually like their curses! But some curses are very very very bad.
Does Raspberry have any other siblings? Strawberry and Blueberry have siblings. And if she does, what is their name and specialty, and are they a boy or a girl?
