Although it’s for good reason. He has never- I repeat, NEVER- gotten close to anyone before in his life. His focus when it comes to dates is on the other party and not on himself. He will ensure that you are having the best time of your life at the cost of exhausting himself- physically, emotionally, and mentally. So you want to go on a shopping date? Chances are the poor man will be the pack mule so you don’t have to carry anything while walking. In fact, there is a chance where he will pay for some of your purchases if it makes you happy.
However, there is a limit to how far he will go. He has been used before- not by potential lovers, no- but by his previous employer, now close friend, Jaden. He knows when people are taking advantage of him and his kindness and will call you out on it. He will start off very gently about the situation, but the further he is being taken advantage of, the harsher and more brutal he will become in his talks with you.
But aside from that, HE IS A HUGE MESS OF A BOYFRIEND, BUT MEANS WELL I PROMISE

Raph winds up getting deathly ill again when Shii is just turning 21 and dating James.
He dies around Christmas that year and, also around that time, James proposes to Shii...
He doesn't get to see his own daughter get married. Nor does he get to pass her to her future husband. He doesn't get to see his own grandson, Alexander, being born...
Posting my drabbles from my main blog to my writing blog.
It was a humid summer’s day in London and, despite the heat, it seemed like the streets were packed with people. A twenty-year old woman with long brown hair tied in a ponytail wiped her brow of sweat as her feet plodded along the hard sidewalk, traveling from the library to her flat downtown. Deep down she knew she had to get a car soon. That was going to be her next purchase after she paid her rent. She couldn’t stand walking around like this, especially on a day as hot as this.
Evea readjusted her armload of notebooks for the third time before finally growling slightly in frustration and stopping near the edge of an alleyway to put said notebooks in her bag. As she slid each one inside, she heard a loud clatter coming from the alley. Raising an eyebrow, she cautiously stepped inside the dark, cool pathway.
Looking around, she saw nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe she just heard a cat knocking over a trashcan.
Then the noise happened again. Louder and closer than the last time. A cold hand clasped around her wrist, causing her to yelp in surprise as she turned to see who her attacker was.
Evea’s eyes widened at the sight. To be honest, if she had to recount this tale to someone, she wouldn’t be able to accurately describe what she saw. It was of average human height, but almost skeletal thin with paper white skin and strange, almost tentacle-like appendages coming from its back. When it opened its mouth, it revealed two rows of razor sharp teeth inside.
It shrieked at her and raised a hand to paw at her face. Evea pulled away, tearing the sleeve of her jacket in the process and took off, running through a near-maze of alleyways as the creature pursued her. Her breathing grew ragged as her heart pounded and her feet smacked against the concrete, her mind a blank haze of panic.
Her body smacked against a chain link fence and she shrieked slightly as her panic escalated to sheer terror, hearing the creature grow closer and closer to her. Evea pressed her body against the fence, closing her eyes, hoping it would be over soon.
But then she felt a warm hand clasp her own, squeezing it tightly, reassuring her that she would be safe. For the strangest reason, that hand felt familiar to her. She turned her head to the right to see who it was and felt her heart stop as her eyes widened.
In front of her was the man that had saved her when she was just a child in WWII Germany. The man who brought her to present day England ten years ago, telling her she would be safer here.
And he hadn’t changed a bit. His hair was as long and fair as she remembered it. He was dressed in the same long coat and black tie. And his glasses…
They were the same blue lensed glasses she remembered looking into when she was a child.
“It’s you…” she whispered.
“Run.” he replied, gripping her hand tighter as he took off, taking her with him.
