I kinda laugh at how much hype there was with XY when there wasn't much to begin with. I really like to see what they do with Z and get them out of the hole with mediocre "rivals" on your journey, emphasis on the villain's motives, more interactions, etc. Not to mention it takes up A LOT of blocks and it doesn't feel as smoothly rendered and can be easily exploited if people are into the whole post breeding/battling mechanics. There's still so much but, now they have a feel for it let's hope.
i think the fact that it was the first 3d handheld game really hyped a lot of people not to mention pokemon amie and the character customization but
it feels almost like if on the whole year gamefreak worked on this game they focused solely on the 3d models and animations so people would go "wow look at these pokemon IN THREEE DEEE" but then one month before release they realized "OH SHIT DON'T WE NEED LIKE...SOME KIND OF STORY TO TIE THIS GAME TOGETHER?" and wrote the entire script in a single night without proofreading, i find it funny how irrelevant xerneas and yveltal were like i don't even remember what their role was
also there's framerate issues in the game?? what's up with that huh
