#rant thingy

Same with just like knights in general stop with the English knights that served under King Arthur like that is so overused I’ve started to hate it, yes I know shining knight technically served under King Arthur but not to me he doesn’t!! Like give me knights under charlemange or the fucking Pope!! Give me more than British boys with swords, like do more research man!!! Also give me knights that as time goes on realize the “knight” title has just become a title and nothing more, like you were knighted? But it’s just another way to say your important? Cool cool

Now onto how Shining knight is to ~me~: he’s a bogatyr, basically the Russian equivalent to a knight, while most times they were fictional I think it would be INCREDIBLY sexy if Justin served under Vladimir the great for most of his reign and then when he converted to Christianity Justin and the other knights did bc their king converted BUT!! Justin didn’t really want to and still believed his pagan beliefs (the pagan beliefs around that time and area so like 10th century Slavic paganism) with him realizing that in present day there so much religious freedom so he de-converts. As much as I love the angst that comes with him being a knight under the Pope/really catholic monarch imagine him having a COMPLETELY different religion instead and no one really knowing anything about it bc of how old it is and how few records there are of it. Also the language barrier! Like I doubt Diana would’ve learned 10-11th century Russian, but if she did know Russian it would probably be more modern day Russian. I’m actually making all of this up and have no idea about anything aside from what little I’ve researched, but imagine Justin teaching Greg his language so they can have secret conversations! They constantly make fun of green arrow and other people and get away with it bc all they gotta say is “that’s a compliment/smth good” and no one can say other wise like bitch! This is a dead language google translate can’t help you. OH imagine Justin meeting vandal savage who’s probably the only person in the world that can speak his native tongue!
