I have neutral opinions on Crosshair as a character, but one thing I disagree really hard with is making him fatphobic and shallow in fanon.
I see it quite often in fanfiction where he makes snarky jabs at Tech or Wrecker for being overweight, and I just? Donât like that. At all. And if you headcanon him with an ed, thereâs better ways to write it than just making him be cruel to anyone above size 0.
Triggers aside, he never does this in canon to begin with. If he attacks someone, itâs always about how they act or what they did.
Him and his brothers are bullied by regs for looking different, and Iâm sure Crosshair has the self-awareness to know that doing the same thing to others, even in a âplayfulâ manner, would make him a hypocrite.
It seems so simple to have nice things for yourself of you watch few Instagram feeds and tiktoks. People buying mass bulks of fast fashions, eating shit tons of healthy and expensive stuff while maintaining their small business. Reality is so much far, away from it. People just assume that few people can do it so everyone should do it. I also get it why people get desperate on Internet to get nice things for free. Not saying it's a good thing but I can understand why they do it. Buying stuff for yourself seems easy like it's 3 simple steps :
1. Earn money
2. Have your basic necessities filled
3. Indulge in Nice things
In reality, it's way to hard. Getting to the point of first step is hard. Even then if you've an average job and an average life, you just don't seem to save enough money for like first 10 years of your job. Something will come up, something will break down and something had to be repaired all the time. When you have stuff for yourself you've to think twice that if it's okay to have it. You've to measure, rewrite your budget, save money and then again think twice before buying.

Traci Redford was boarding a Southwest Airlines flight with her 5-year-old daughter when she says she overheard an airline employee mocking the girl's name, Abcde.
Couple things about this that bother me, because this is so indicative of what weâve become as a society.
First - this isnât a ânewsâ story, but itâs typical of the thing society considers ânewsâ now. Really? Someone was rude to someone because they have an odd first name? Alert the media! Letâs dispatch a news team!
Second - the employee is wrong for their actions, but thereâs also no need to milk the story, or for folks to be do interviews about it, or for the media to squeeze every drop of outrage-juice out of it that it can . . . and yet they do. Â Itâs like we have this incessant need to pick at a scab and make it keep bleeding.
Finally - as a parent, I know what itâs like to want to make sure I raise my kids âmyâ way, and as a parent, I know that Iâve got to take care of my kids. Â I also know how kids are, and how people are, and I knew enough not to saddle my kids with an anchor around their necks when it came to choosing a name. Â The kid doesnât have a choice, but the parent certainly does, and when you make the affirmative decision to name your kid Abcde, youâre telling us all we need to know about YOU. Sure, it might be a hoot to name your kid Fartknocker, but if I do that, I canât then some day feign âsurpriseâ or âoutrage,â or create the term âname shamingâ when people find that name-choice curious and - shockingly - might, possibly, make fun of it.
With so many beautiful, unique names out there, and with so many historical sources (family and otherwise), if you settle on Abcde for your childâs name, you and you alone are responsible for whatever consequences flow from that choice, for the rest of your childâs life. Â

not a customer annoyance, but definitely annoying. I'm about the only 18+ employee that doesn't smoke, which means, hour for hour, I have to work more than my smoking co-workers, a 5 hour shift for me is 5 hours, a 5 hour shift for most everyone else is closer to 4-4.5 hours. and yet I can't step away from my task while we're slow for 5 seconds to say something unrelated to our work without getting scolded... I'm about to take up nicotine-free vaping and say its a nicotine dependence
Sorry anon, this really reminded me of something. :)
That does really suck to have to deal with though. At my work we didnât really have this problem. Essentially, your break is your break. You can eat, play on your phone, or smoke but you gotta be back in 15 minutes. The only other time we were allowed to step away was if we need to use the restroom.
I know it might be really frustrating but I do wanna tell you to stick away from smoking and vaping altogether. They are so bad for you and you came get addicted easily even if you donât think you will. Contrary to popular belief, Vap pens do contain varying amounts of toxic chemicals (source). Itâs not harmless.
While the unfairness does suck to deal with, I also wanna bring up that some people in my own family spend $50+ a week on cigarettes or cigarette related products. When you add the health risks onto the costs of addiction, I just donât think itâs worth it. Please donât start!
Something I've noticed as a female cashier is that when I tell a female customer that a bag is heavy and that they should carry it from the bottom (we use paper, they rip) they almost always listen but men literally ignore me or use the handles anyway and guess what? The bag breaks. When I say its heavy ITS HEAVY
Iâve actually noticed this too. I think guys might just be more stubborn sometimes. Even though itâs stupid and makes no sense, Men seem to take it more as a challenge to their manhood like âYou donât think I can carry this? Watch me carry it!â And then it rips, they throw a tantrum blaming me for something I warned them not to do, and I laugh at them for being an idiot.
Iâve even had this happen when I try to double bag something. Sometimes guys stop me from doing it. Like me double bagging is somehow an insult to their manhood and will make them look weak.
Like, NO! Dumbass, the bag is literally gonna break. Youâre fragile concept of masculinity has nothing to do with the fact that bag canât support this.
