I know this isn’t my usual type of post, nor my usual art style. but I’ve been struggling with depression for years now, and I feel like this little comic I made is the best way to express how asking for help / support with depression as someone considered “high performing” feels like.

it hurts to know that some things I struggle with on a daily basis are being done effortlessly by many people, and knowing that I’m well capable of getting top grades makes it hurt way more when my performance is in the bottom rank.

sometimes it hurts how people think that I’m “brave” for facing depression all alone, because it makes me think that I should go on facing this alone with no support other than therapy, otherwise I won’t be “good” anymore.
