gonna be the sole dissenter and say: i truly dont think ransom drysdale is a aspd-having, certified sociopath. i think he's a genuinely fucked up dude who's been spoiled and bought off in place of being emotionally and physically nurtured from childhood by his extended family who has kept him stunted in the rich, private school boy asshole persona he inhabits so easily. he also came by his immediacy towards murder and violence honestly, considering the only "stable" (and i say that with great hesitancy since canon seems to point to harlan and ransom fighting like dogs regularly) familial relationship he had centered and revolved around murder and murder mysteries.
like, in all, he's a genuinely stunted and traumatised, which shows itself in his massive explosions of anger and violence but. he doesn't show the continual disregard for laws (he relies on them to eliminate marta from inheriting the thrombey fortune) and he doesn't disregard emotions and feelings (the scene where linda and richard were glad he had been disinherited threw him, canonically, so he obviously has some regard for the emotions and feelings of people, at least in this instance his parents towards him, as well as for marta after the will reading (which, yes, is likely to be facetious but you dont play that well without regard towards the person's feelings)). if i was to be honest, i'd say he plays towards having aspd as a mechanism to keep himself safe because he hasn't been emotionally protected growing up.
