Season of the Yule Goat

It seems as though Squire was a bit extra naughty this year and Krampus will be visiting him instead of Santa.  Squire doesn't care.  He's clearly not going to go without a fight! Brynjar always warns Squire that Krampus is not a creature to be messed with.  He is a demon, after all.  If things go well, Squire will only be dragged by his ear and beaten with a sack full of presents.  If things don't go well, Squire may get a first class tour of the underworld.   Rani has no idea what's going on, as usual.  She looks about ready to fight, though! So, I worked Thanksgiving this year.  I rushed through a Thanksgiving dinner by myself and left my family on one of two days of the year I get to see them all; only so some greedy people could save some money on clothes.  Nobody cares about being around family, anymore.  It’s all about sales.  It kinda killed my Christmas spirit, this year.  I was in a sour Christmas mood and used it as inspiration.  Though to be fair, I probably would have drawn a Krampus themed seasonal piece because Krampus counts as mythology!

Yeah, those Krampus assets are from the movie that came out last year.  I love their designs too much to not draw them.  

What if the Claret Age was a furry project?

I was reading Space Pawdyssey again and wondered “what if my characters were animals?”

The faiths in the gods are failing. Humanism(animalism?) is on the rise. Development in science and philosophy has led to the extinction of the griffins.

Mao and Bjorn will need to join forces in order to stop the extra-powerful mythical beasts that are ravaging the land and killing ani-people for food and sport.  In this dangerous time, the decline of animal survival has come to be termed as the Claret Age.

I liked the little changes the furry universe brought to the story, such as the monster hunters being able to speak to the mythical beasts they slew.  It added a delightful layer of evil to the mythical beasts.  For a moment, I even considered changing it to a furry project!  In the end, a lot of the things I had planned for the story and characters would be null or uninteresting with the furry changes.  

I’m liking the development of Rani’s armor!  Been working on nailing that design for a loooooooong while.
