Yozoro Mikazuki, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT Ep8

Now Haganai (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai) is a comedy and an all-around upbeat-ish anime, but occasionally it'll throw you a curve ball such as this.

This really hit home because this was my take on life until a few years ago and because of that, I've been alone essentially my entire life (until recently).

I think the worst part is that I actually watched this episode a week or two ago and have since then, dwelled upon it further.

Tangent/Background Information: A lot of my friends and people I know have pasts darker then most would realize if left uninformed, in fact I've come to believe that almost everybody does because the world is a cold and fickle bitch of a place.

And, I know it's wrong, but I can't help but be envious of those people because I, personally, don't any character-defining back-stories and, if I do, they're all pretty much like this one.

Then I asked myself "What if they're connected. What if, by living by this foolish creed, I've missed out on all the heartache that defines who you are and who you will be?" and that's what really got to me because that would mean that, in a sense... it worked

My other hypothesis is that I just have wonderful parents who love me and that I wouldn't have really had much heartache regardless.
