Logan have you considered the Yerks-Dotson Curve in relation to anxietyâs effects? Perhaps keeping Anxiety like this would cause Thomas to go to the far end of the curve, causing Thomas to not fear anything and making him not listen to Logic based in reasonable fear. Idk, I just donât want Thomas to get hurt or do something stupid because Anxiety isnât there.
Logan quirked an eyebrow, before pulling up research on the topic and looking through it curiously.Â
âIt certainly is an interesting theory. Though, currently all signs point to Anxietyâs effect lying more on the far end of the scale. The way he obsesses over Thomasâs previous actions, relentlessly tears down otherâs contributions, and increases our hostâs panic and impulsivity seems like clear examples of âbad stress.â
âIn fact, itâs possible that keeping Anxiety at this size, and by extension this level of power, weâve traveled backwards on the curve, back into the âgood stressâ side of the curve. Weâll only be certain with further observation.â Logan added the image to his notes, jotting down a few sentences. âAn excellent chart, but I suspect it isnât making the point you want it to make.â
Remembering Anxietyâs presence in the room, he glanced over to see that the tiny side was still hidden in the bed, emanating a tense silence. He cleared his throat awkwardly, and then tapped his finger to his desk, activating the soundproofing function on the glass box.Â
There. That was more comfortable for both of them.Â
@randommuffinyt said: Logan! Roman! You can't seriously leave him alone with nothing to do except get watched all day! That's horrible and that could freak him out! Why dont you give him music that he LIKES to listen to, puzzles to do, or painting and/or drawing supplies? Painting and drawing are perfect ways to express yourself and not be destructive.
âI suppose stimulation is required, isnât it?â Logan pushed his chair back, leaving Virgilâs box in its default state and standing to leave the room.Â
Puzzles, he could do, but if they wanted high quality manifestations of tiny art and music supplies, Roman was the clear choice. Heâd have to pay him another visit.
