Young Oriental Food (& Gift) Market is owned by Lennifel Cochran, a Filipina from Mindanao. It is a mini grocery store of Filipino, Korean and Japanese foods and drinks and stuff like bilao, chopsticks, bowls, spoons, etc. I knew right away that she is a “kababayan” and like any other Filipinos, we just started talking like we knew each other. She said she has been living in Ohio for almost ten years. She and her family bought this shop a year ago from a Korean owner. She also mentioned that there are more than 500 Filipinos in this area and showed me a few calling cards of fellow Filipinos.
