This week's #homwork had me in my feels. I suffer from terrible imposter syndrome because I spend too much time comparing myself to strangers on the internet and too little time just making stuff that makes me happy. In the calligraphy/lettering community it's easy to get wrapped up in the money making side if things, because it feels like everyone and their mama has thousands of followers and makes bank on Etsy and custom work (which I'm sure they don't, really). It's like you're not a "real maker" unless it's your "side hustle" π Thing is, I DO want to sell at craft and trade shows, as well as online, but the fear of failure or not being good enough keeps me from trying.
