leofitz-engineer:
Since Peter came back to Earth, Fitz had seen the man walking, but never managed to catch up to the man to offer him the burner phone. He knew that Peter would need to be able to contact S.H.I.E.L.D. if something ever arose, but there was no way that could happen if the guy didn’t have a damn cell. Gritting his teeth, Fitz followed the man to his S.H.I.E.L.D. apartment, grabbed him by the back of his jacket, and foisted the phone in his hands. “Ya have no idea how hard it has been ta get this ta ya.” With that final comment, he spun on his heel and walked out of the building.
Peter wasn’t surprised, per ce, that Fitz had managed to sneak up on him; he had known that someone was following him for the past few blocks. The surprising thing, was that he didn’t seem to have any bad intentions. Releasing his grip on one of his concealed element guns, he watched Leo leave, his brow creasing in mild confusion. Okay…so if it hadn’t been a mission to threaten him, then what exactly was all of that about? Glancing down at the unknown object he held, his eyes widened. “Well, whaddya know…” he mumbled, turning the phone over in his hand with a crooked smile. “Thanks, kid.”
