Why I Love Concerts.
Concerts have always been an outlet for me. I love these adventures to familiar places and even unfamiliar venues. It’s the excitement and all of your emotions that run together. I thrive simply on the escape. An escape from reality where stress and anxiety play a constant role. Being in an environment with people who come to hear a band play is absolutely magical. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences, but we all have something that we have in common. I am the “random person” of the group. (This is not a bad thing, I just essentially say random things.) When I get the ability to have random conversations with people, I get excited. I want to know their story and make a connection with them.
There was this one interaction that we had last night with a musician working the merchandise table. He would be so ecstatic that I didn’t call him just the “merch” guy. Instead of us coming to him, he came over to us. A full fledged conversation. As he was talking about his interests in being in the music business, his face lit up. As I mentioned this a huge smile came across his face. When you have a conversation with someone and they are excited about their adventure, it just makes you smile. Sometimes its those conversations that you never thought you would experience in your life that inspires you so much more. I’ll never forget that and I will always be thankful for that moment.
