This one girl was in a different tab downloadong other stuff for the project, so I asked her to show me the celebrity pic she chose. She switched tabs and I was smacked, no, ASSAULTED with Wang Yibo's face, extremely zoomed in.

I had a *visceral * reaction, like, flushed face, pterodactyl screech, I even jumped a little. I was NOT prepared for a giant Yibo face so early in the morning. Unthinkingly, I just said "hnnnngghhh why is he so beautiful?! Dammit, Yibo!!"

So, yeah, now that girl (and the whole class) knows I am entrenched in the The Untamed/MDZS rabbit hole. She'll send me fic recommendations tonight.

Teaching college is fun.

I live in New England and had a pet rescue peacock as a kid.

I’m in the house I am today because of a crush I had when I was 10 and also because my dad made hot sauce one day in my early 20’s.

I sang opera at the peak of a 14,000 ft tall mountain at age 17.

I have lived below the poverty line my entire 33 years and have 22 years of customer service experience.

I used to disappear into a trailess forest of 400 acres every day for hours between the ages of 7-22 and still be able to find my way home every day without my parents having to look for me once.

I was raised by a former marine and crack dealer turned industrial food mess janitor, and a plant science major turned veritable farm and family related hat-rack on a farm and daycare turned farm and garden center.

I once caught a baby Rhea in the downtown of a somewhat rural New England town.

I once out-shot the state swat team during a school shooting training at age 13. I also faked being dead so well that they almost ended the exercise to get me medical attention. I was not asked back for the next year’s training.

I used to watch the movies Cats and Spirited Away after school every day for three years and wear a yarn cat tail my friend made me that looked like it was one of the ones from the show until my freshman year of high school.

Despite this, I somehow, without changing my behavior became extremely popular in high school. I don’t *think* it was the tits of it all, because I was still made fun of by some of my peers, but I still could get along with like 95% of the school, everyone knew me, and I was in the yearbook like 20+ times every year.

When I tried to punch my first ex-boyfriend when I found out he had written poetry for the girl he was now dating while he was with me, I managed to pop his shoulder back into place that had become partially dislocated during gym that day.

I have had a detailed plan in place for if I ever win the lottery since age 14, but ideas for it since age 12.

I hauled two bags of chicken feed on my shoulders in a mini skirt and heels after my parents asked me to bring some home after a date.

A few years ago, said chef ordered custom-made t-shirts for his staff and himself, but due to his heavy Spanish accent, the t-shirt shop misprinted his shirt.

On the back, in huge, bold letters, it reads JEFF.

Well after staying three nights awake for this gig, they're not even going to pay me.

Admittedly, yes I did a piss poor job

Because I stayed awake three nights in a row to complete it

Because they gave me three days to do it by myself, when it would require three people and a week, minimum.

- joining a total stranger's birthday party at Burger King

- staying at my very haunted elementary school until nighttime (the ONE time I said no to a stranger and it turned out he wasn't lying, my parents did send him to pick me up but I refused so hard he gave up. It's a long story.)

- participating in the district's art contest (got 3rd place)

- joining the group of dancers for the Independence Day parade (only on rehearsals as a stand-in for whoever was missing)

- founding a "religion" in the school yard (I pushed to dissolve it when people started giving us actual money as offerings)

- going to therapy during high school (that was good). Then stopping because I misunderstood the therapist saying this would be the last session before summer break for it being my last session ever.

- participating in the school's chess tournament (was out so fast the judges were shocked. I don't like chess.)

- going on most of the clubs' field trips despite not belonging to any of them. The Applied Sciences Club had the best ones, I always had fun.

- rehearsal stand-in for the Drama Club. By the end I could pretty much do that play by myself. I was not in the Drama Club.

- getting a boyfriend (it's been more than a decade together, oops)

- becoming a case study for an undergrad psychology class (that one was enlightening)

- unknowingly hiding a pack of stolen beer from the police in a city I was visiting (I didn't understand what was happening until I was already back at the hotel and the police blew me off when I tried contacting them about it. At least I got free beer)

- being in a sapphic 3-way (fun but not great)

- appearing as an interviewee (and a weirdo) on a local web show while I was trying to enjoy the Vampire Museum

- winning second place in a board game tournament despite not even signing up for it (thank god only the 1st place got a cash price or that would have been so awkward)

- joining a bdsm club because my friend didn't want to go alone. I'm not an active participant but I have learned a lot.

- becoming a college teacher (I was only supposed to cover for a friend for two weeks. The school pretty much thrust the contract in my face)

- becoming the unofficial wrangler of Troubled Students ™️ for said college (ironic, as a former troubled student myself).
