and the ending made me happy since I’ve shipped Rebecca with Greg for most of my time watching the show. Rebecca is going on a final date with Greg, Josh, and Nathaniel to see which one she wants to be with. Josh and Nathaniel put in a lot of work and the dates they planned were pretty romantic. And then there’s Greg. Greg has never been one to make a big romantic gesture. Throughout the episode, he’s trying his best to be romantic so he can have a fighting chance with Josh and Nathaniel, even though it’s not him.

Toward the end of the episode, Rebecca is about to cancel her date with Greg, but runs into him as his crappy car broke down. They spend the evening at the mechanics and order delivery since it’ll be a few hours until the car is fixed. While Josh and Nathaniel were giving their all for one date, Greg was just himself and I think Rebecca realized that them spending time together while running an errand was a realistic look into spending time with someone. While the romantic dates were nice, those won’t happen all the time. Most of the time when you’re dating someone, you’ll be doing ordinary things, like waiting for a car to get fixed. These things aren’t exciting, but with the right person, you’ll be happy just to be with them. That’s what I saw with this episode and why I think Rebecca will choose Greg.
