and "don't talk about health" doesn't mean "don't share your stories", i mean don't make blanket statements about treatments that are still undergoing research if they work for people. I mean don't talk about things you have no experience with. I mean don't make determinations about care when vulnerable people could hear what you say, internalize it, fail to seek care and fucking die.

western medicine literally stole and rebranded yoga as "physical therapy" so people can act high and mighty about their practice and make hella insurance money off of patients. The only difference is if you attended medical school or not, bc you do need to understand anatomy and disease to treat an actual patient (hence why i'm studying what i am). Pilates also stole a lot of yogic concepts with little to no regard for the practice as well. Every westerner i talk to treats yoga like a woowoo stupid spiritual bullshit MLM scheme while treating PT like the be-all-end-all of treating chronic disease. It's literally the same thing, i feel like i'm wasting my fucking time every time I go to PT but feel brand new when I leave restorative yoga class. You need to treat health interventions like pharmaceuticals and stop assuming everyone is going to benefit from the exact same things. Like I'm not going to say adderall is fake because it didn't work for me, y'all acting like frogs the way you jump to conclusions.

i must be in the exact right corner of tumblr to not have interacted with transphobic trans people like you guys talk about. it makes me feel like there are werewolves out there or something.

it also just feels like an ear infection tbh which could very well be from the housing situation
