#raison tidbits

This one came to me via recent musings and interaction doodles (where I take some characters, shake em up and see what kinds of interactions I get). It’s not spoilers, it’s not major to the story, but I’ll be making it more obvious in the comic from here on out (so it won’t get relegated to being just some Special and then left alone)

Sachiko is a demigirl.

I got a question on Twitter the day I posted the Raison Cheesy Valentines relating to Yucchan - Is she acearo?

While the initial joke I hoped to convey is that Yucchan just LOVES potatoes, there is a secondary thing going on there, too. With stuff like orientation and gender identity, I just let my characters do the talking, so to speak. I’ll keep doing doodles and special stories to continue developing the cast beyond the main plot since those offer all sorts of interaction opportunities. The last time I tried to force orientations on my characters, Miko ended up doing this whole run-around between BOYS, Hayato (Sachiko’s brother), Pan, secretly Sachiko, Pan, Sachiko, boys...?, Yoshida (a boy), Pan, Sachiko affair...and then FINALLY I let her choose and she went with Sachiko.

I’ve drawn Yucchan enough times to know that she is definitely ace. She’s just not interested in sex at all. It’s not for “repulsive” reasons (though ANYONE reading about their parents doing it is going to cause similar reactions to what she had lol), she just doesn’t think about it nor does it cross her mind. She is “meh” about it. I guess you could say she has a low libido overall.

But I think she has a romantic orientation at least. What that is - het, homo, bi, demi - I don’t know yet (so yes, Yucchan/Rie lovers, you keep doing your thing; though I’m not going to stop you even if that ends up not being canon - I know how shipping works x3). Right now, Yucchan is more interested in some personal histories and her moms, so even I haven’t had the time to really explore her non-family relations to give out a definite answer.

At one point, I had someone ask me why I show off Yucchan’s bra in her default outfit.

It’s not a bra. It’s a tank top that she tucks in then puts the other shirt over.

You've seen that choker Yucchan wears, right? Well, it's a homemade one and the decoration consists of her moms' original Hunter pins from their first NKP uniforms melded together.
