This past week I deep cleaned my dryer lint trap after TikTok informed me it is actually a black hole to the forth dimension if you remove the tray and attempt to clean it. I half filled a grocery bag with lint and my vacuum cleaner died in the process. 5. Leaving this here because these kids just… deep spiritual sigh 6. I enjoyed My Favorite Half-Night Stand by @christinalaurenbooks. It’s commentary on dating, mental and emotional health, being a single professional woman in the age of online dating and dick pics is priceless. It was funny, fluid and well executed. I would recommended it to anyone looking for a great contemporary romance read. Check out my Goodreads review.

My daughter wrote two short stories this week: one was about the intersection of voting, racism and faith and the other was about budgets and saving money. A loved one long lost to me to self hate, anger, emotional and physical abuse is slowly returning to herself. I don’t know if she is truly ready for the journey toward healing and freedom, but I hope she is. So I listened and I forgave and I sent a book of @theijeoma’s poetry and I hope it helps her find her own voice and her own strength. All these years of marriage and the husband still likes to comment about my dislike of pants. I let him know he wouldn’t wear pants all the time either if he was blessed with all of this thigh meat! It’s not his fault, he was raised in this modest family that wears clothes all the time.
