raising hell || deadlock reaction solo
in regards to this post on deadlock
he stares at his phone screen for a long moment, reading again gossip girl's latest post and in all honesty, he actually does feel something. it's almost a completely novel experience, feeling emotions about things, but he has felt rage, lust, pain, and frustration before. not to mention, impatience. there's a lot of impatience in him at the moment, it's true, but that's not the interesting part about all this.
it's disgust. actual disgust, which is fascinating because there's really nothing to be disgusted about; any of his old clique sleeping together is really none of his business, even yoori fucking jisoo. he doesn't care if she sleeps with people-- he sleeps with people too; they are not monogamous-- but what he does care about, what he's always, always cared about is reputation. he's always told her to be nothing if not discreet, it was the only rule he wanted her to uphold. he didn't want to be embarrassed by her.
it was the only rule.
now no matter what wishes his mother might concoct, no matter what imagery or fortune she wants to pour into their upcoming wedding, it will be tainted. at least three dozen people there will know all about yoori fucking one of jongin's old best friends, that the whole relationship has been a sham this entire time. and what pisses jongin off the worst is how hard he's worked to maintain this goddamn fake-ass relationship with a girl he doesn't give two shits about, who equally hates him.
she never does anything to uphold this situation between them, even though she's clearly the beneficiary. she makes her own choices, chooses her own company, lives her own fucking life, and still complains and acts like it's all his fault somehow. like this is something he's wanted for oh, so long; to marry a girl who would never sleep with him, who has to be smashed drunk to even let him kiss her. she is constantly fighting him.
this just got so much harder to deal with, and to be frank, he's had enough. he makes an important decision.
things are about to change in a very major way.
"fuck this.." he sighs, putting the phone back into his pocket. he stalks back into the room, his long legs quickly bringing him back into the meeting he'd walked out on just to send yoori a couple of text messages and reread the GG post. his demeanor has soured intensely, his mood gone to shit, his tolerance of these ants and their demands disappearing.
it's a dangerous room, full of his people armed to the nines, and their people armed to the nines, but jongin knows his crew, knows they are ready and have his back. so he doesn't hesitate when he pulls his gun out and aims it point-blank at the other gang leader's forehead. "negotiations are over."
he pulls the trigger and all hell breaks loose.
