Today was a baking day. This morning I woke up early to start with my cakes...and collected all the ingredients I needed. Only to realize I forgot to put the 18 count egg carton in the fridge last night. Nice.
So I asked the Hubs if he wanted to go for a walk to the nearby store to pick up some eggs. As we started to walk I heard a far away rumble of thunder.
"Don't worry, that is way far out. It won't rain," my husband said reassuring me. About five blocks away from our house it started to sprinkle.
" Don't worry it can't rain that much harder... it's sunny!" The Hubs said again, reassuring me. Then another block later it began to downpour. For those of you that don't live in Florida, this is common summertime weather.
Here we were about a half a mile from the store in the pouring rain. I was grumpy at first and then the Hubs said "You can't control everything...sometimes you just need to go with it." So I did. And I laughed the rest of the way to the store and back.
Sometimes going with it, really changes the perspective on an otherwise "bad" situation.
