I don't know much about Laos. In fact, it's safe to say that before I got this position I didn't even know where it was on a map. I did however meet someone whose parents are Lao. He has visited there before and I was hoping he would give me some valuable insight to the country.

I nodded thinking he had asked an obvious question. If you know my family, you know we could practically open a MEC Franchise with the amount of Gore-Tex we own.

He's right. Monsoon season begins sometime between May-July and can last till November. So I've spent the last week becoming fully equipped with monsoon gear. I have a good raincoat, rain boots and quick-dry everything. Bring it on!
