Purple story pt.3 (it's all right if you want to cry)
Everything was quiet, Purple was resting on a stretcher, IV fluid running into his veins to nourish him. Purple was anesthetized and lost in his thoughts and dreams.
One of the experiments was in the room, he was reading a human anatomy book. His brain was twice the size of a human brain, he was very intelligent, but felt bored. He looked around the room somewhat listlessly. There was a shelf of books, a toy box, a blackboard for him to write anything, but he didn’t find pleasure in any of it. He felt lonely, even though he was well taken care of. He barely had a friend to talk to, play with, or anything.
So he got out of his bed and went to the intercom in his stall, pressed a button, and said:
"Hello? Is Mr. Oswald there?…sorry to bother you...your you guys but…I feel lonely…is there no one to play with me?"
(yes heheh, it's Red child version)
No one answered, the red creature felt abandoned, he sat in front of the door and hugged his knees, stood there, waiting for someone, but nothing happened… I think… Wait-
Something hit hard inside the pipes, Red got a fright and jumped, he looked around scared, trying to find where the sound came from, but he didn't say anything until he heard a whisper coming from the pipe:
"ow ow..ugh ouch my little head…"
said Red, frightened, as he grabbed his ruler and pointed it at the pipe. Purple had just discovered this place right now (I’m referring to the pipes).
"Whoa! Whoa! Don’t shout, little ant! You’ll scare the spirits!"
said Purple, whispering (since he was never really one to speak loudly). Red didn’t let his guard down and growled, saying in a stern tone:
"You didn’t answer my question..."
Purple was shocked by the tone of that creature, he could see a bit of Red in him, he was angry but deep down he was anxious, he sighed before answering, defeated:
"I can't say my name but… well…"
Purple thought to himself, he didn't want to say his name, afraid of being discovered and that he had managed to escape from his stable, so he made up a nickname:
"I am the mysterious one! and I come in peace, my dear mr.scientist, please spare me, I didn't mean to bother you."
Purple trying to be a kiss-up
Red widened his eyes because of Purple's really silly acting before letting out a laugh.
"So you're the mysterious one? Let me guess, you're a 30-year-old adult trying to be childish?"
"W-What?! O-of course not!… Well, as far as I remember, I’m… hmm, almost… 9 years old!"
"W-wait… 9 years old?! I’m 8 years old!"
"Haha! I’m older than you!"
Both of them laughed until Red's saddle was slowly opened, it was Chloe along with a guard.
"Well well, what are you doing Dr. Red? Talking to yourself?"
Red ran over to Chloe and hugged her; she was the only woman in that lab who treated the Rainbow Friends like her own kids.
Purple watched everything with a bit of jealousy but also with hurt; it had been a while since Chloe had come to see him, and it was like she had silently abandoned him.
"Who were you talking to, Dr. Red?"
Purple's eyes widened in shock, and he almost wanted to scream right then.
"Red, no!"
He swallowed the scream when Chloe seemed to have heard him, but only Red heard it clearly.
"I-I mean… it's an imaginary friend!"
but after everything, that memory became blurrier, Purple tried to rub his eyes but everything went dark
Purple woke up, he looked around and remembered what had happened, he broked his leg and he was inside Red's laboratory, but… why did he have to remember this memory?
Said the scientist right in front of him, he was facing away from Purple, looking into a microscope. Purple stayed silent for a moment… until he broke it, of course.
"W-what is… so interesting, doctor?"
Red got a fright, he looked back and saw those bright eyes staring at him.
"Ah! You’re awake! I was waiting for you hehe,"
Red said excitedly as he grabbed a chair and placed it right next to where Purple was lying.
"Purple, right? I’m so glad you’re alive,"
Red said with strong sincerity. Purple was just as shocked as he had been when he saw Red grown up — how did that adorable, big-eyed little ant turn into this hot, slim, and muscular man at the same time?!
"Ah! And to answer your question, I kinda collected a bit of your blood to examine it and saw that you seem to be immune to anything that transmits diseases or something like that. I haven’t investigated it thoroughly yet, so at the moment it’s just a hypothesis."
I really don’t understand what it is about scientists that makes them so attractive…
"Well… being a creature who… lived almost half his life… eating rats, cockroaches, and worse things… it’s totally normal and doesn’t surprise me much."
Red let out a hoarse laugh (another reason for Purple to want to bite his butt). Before he looked to the side in a worried way, his hand was tenderly and lovingly caressing Purple's, which made the slender rainbow friend somewhat euphoric.
"I… noticed that… you don't eat very well, do you?.. and… that's why I made something for you to eat."
Red quickly moved away to a part of the lab that looked like a poorly made kitchen, which hurt Purple as the physical touch disappeared. He came back with a bowl of vegetable soup, the smell was great, it had carrots, potatoes, lettuce, and chicken. He sat down again near Purple with a spoon in his hand.
"Well… I know it might be embarrassing but… your body is still a little numb and… I'll feed you with a spoon, okay?"
The blunt cut-off caught Red by surprise, his eyes widened.
Purple sighed and stayed silent. Red asked for an answer but got silence as a response. Without one, he insisted.
"Look, Purple… I don't know how, but… please, eat a little. I might be terrible at cooking, but this soup isn’t bad."
Red scooped some soup onto a spoon and brought it closer to Purple. The way he was gentle, how genuinely concerned he was, and his tender look made Purple's heart pound. Purple didn’t want to, the demon inside him tormented him for what he had done and wanted him to give up, but he couldn’t resist.
"This is so bad that just out of pity I'm going to say it's good."
"I'm kidding hehe! It's really good."
Both laughed, Red was almost fooled, but the scientist felt a strange nostalgia, it was as if he had already met Purple but couldn’t remember clearly.
(Hello my lovely creamy kings and queens, I just think again that Kiseki will be reading this crap, there will be more parts in the future since my fingers need a break, and also, I plan to write more when Purple is already known by the Rainbow Friends and will live his life normally, another thing, Kiseki👹👹👹👹Do you have any constructive criticism? Or any ideas?)
