Another set of unpublished sketches!
This time this is a character I play as from my friend's Call of Cthulhu TTRPG campaign, Clayton Boyd. We did a one shot in February but have decided to continue it again this month so I thought it would be fun to dig up these old sketches and post them. It was my first time playing Call of Cthulhu so I was unfamiliar with the character making process but I found the different rolls for education and looks to be a fun aspect on it, especially since my character rolled so low on both which helped finalized the details for Clayton.
Clayton is a young man from Starkville, Mississippi, who before he could graduate highschool, got caught in a house fire and lost his younger sister in the process. After finally healed up enough to get around but not from the trauma, he ran away to Vermont and was then employed by Sadie Eakley (pictured right) to be her stablehand and unofficial personal assistant as she goes chasing after Lovecraftian mysteries.
The campaign is set in the 1920's but men's fashion is pretty simple aside from a few structural details so Clayton doesn't get any elaborate outfit, especially given his net worth of 20 whole dollars, but his employer is rich enough to have cute outfits. Sadie is played by my friend, @rainbowdoom32 , and I meant to color this piece but as I can't find the original page for this sketch, it will have to be posted as is. She's a fashionable, lively, and very intelligent young debutante, which makes for a lovely contrast to Clayton's more taciturn and brusque character. I've been enjoying their interactions and I'm very tempted to draw them together again if I can!
