Couple of remasters and new bands
Hello guys.
Something exciting happened, it seems some people are trying to fan-remaster the Perpetual Desolation Live.
First of them, is an audio-remaster of the whole concert. To me it sounds a little better, but I have no audio equipment to judge it actually. Here it is:
>> Perpetual Desolation Live (Remastered Audio)
Second, now this one got me very excited! It is a video remaster with AI technology of one of the songs, and it is really good!! I’m trying to find the person who did it to see if he has the whole concert. It would be incredible. This is the best quality the Perpetual Desolation Live ever has. Much better than the DVD and obviously than the VHS! Check it out:
>> TSoTB - Partial Insanity (Remastered with AI)
Now, for other news, about Arild and Stig, after leaving Savn, now they each have a gothic metal band in the making. Stig Johansen, with singer Susanne Dahle have created Morke, as I already said on my last post. They’re making their first album and the last update was 3 months ago with a video of a song that actually sounds very cool! I loved to see him growling, remember, he was the drummer in TSoTB!
>> Morke - Hel
As for Arild, he joined with singer Nelly Khosrovyan to create the band RAINAREA, and they just made their first video, it sounds good, I really like the electric piano sound.
>> RAINAREA - Climbing the Mountains
Now, Pete Johansen has always been the most prolific of them, and I have already posted news about him here during the last years. Along with his solo albums, the bands he has worked with are too many, so please just check his page on Metal Archives. What I want to talk here is first about Art of Departure, the solo project of Tristania’s drummer Tarald Lie Jr. along with Pete(!) as you can see on this instagram post. They haven’t posted any songs yet, but to me this sounds very promising! Another news, according to this website (in portuguese), the Brazilian band ILUMINATO has announced that their next album (which will be their second) will have Pete violins, in the entire album! Now, as their official website is down, as it appears to be their facebook, there’s no way to tell if this will go forward, but it would be really cool to have a new gotic metal album with Pete in all songs. Here’s one live song from ILUMINATO’s first album. Sounds good!
>> ILUMINATO - Betrayed Soul
PS Remember to download everything you wish to keep from youtube, as it tends to be taken down.
