After a bit of a break (read: got lost in other work) I am going to start regularly making posts (as I still have quite a backlog, of course) again. Also I will try to put more systems in place to easily find photos; I had already started with a 'species' tag when a photo had an organism prominently in it, mainly so I could find them again to identify. It makes more sense to keep that as a labelling tag for complete classifications when I get around to them (KPCOFGS + common names system) and use "classified/unclassified organism" tags as a reminder, so the system needs work, but I can always go back and fix it; I do not have very many photos up so far. Anyway, even though I do only have three photos currently (not counting this one) I have already had a reblog. This has caused me to think that in the future if/when I have more subscribers/viewers I should make things easy - like providing titles (this one is a rainbow in a railyard) and tagging all my photos 'arlophotos' so people can TumblrSaviour blacklist that tag so they can still remain subscribed and enjoy the photos without their Dashboard being flooded every time I post a lot. By the way, if you want to reblog something you can chop off all these rants that occasionally come with the photo. The text and the photos here are in the public domain (because I said so), my only request (and even that is non-legally-binding) is that you give attribution and mention it to me (not for permission, just because it makes me happy that my stuff is being used). [EDIT: Obviously some aspects of a post are not mine to put in the public domain, like for example the Santa Fe Southern logo in this image. Apply common sense and you should be fine.]
