For some reason this song doesn't appeal to me, idk, but in fact the noises he makes in this are kinda cute(?) I don't know how to describe it, but let's talk about caipirinha, don't even trip and kill the dj, because these are the best (and anyone who disagrees is wrong)

I always thought it was about masturbation(?) don't ask me why, but every song Mike writes I need to listen to without stopping to pay attention to the lyrics, otherwise I'll automatically go: "this one is definitely about masturbation" lol There are some verses in this song that make me think it's one person masturbating thinking about the other giving heads 🤷🏻‍♀️

AND LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PONY COVER??? I'm completely in love with this one... I don't know if it's part of a show he did with Peeping Tom, but I know it's with Rhazel, and it's simply magnificent, I have no words to describe how good that shit was 😩

classic mike - even after all this time it baffles me how easily and beautifully he can switch between them during live performances. also, I still love when Mike thought he was a soprano singer during that interview😂😂😂

tbh Mojo isn't my fave on the album or anything (but it definitely rates higher than Celebrity Death Match, which I hope we can all agree is the weakest song), but for some reason that little tiny beep sound makes it for me (it's not a vocal, it's a literal beep)...it's silly...also the line "there's blood on the ceiling, the carpet" like....Mike...you're not that hardcore man, chill (said with so much love) AND YES HIS LITTLE GRUNTS LOL I LOVE THEM.

yes yes yes to Don't Even Trip, hell yes to Caipirinha and Kill the DJ. The latter two are so much fun, along with How U Feelin? They're just so silly and you can tell how much Mike trusts Dan the Automator with his sound. Don't Even Trip is sometimes my fave song (and sometimes it's Five Seconds)...it's gonna sound funny, but there's something about how unfortunately awkward the lyrics are that somehow really endears the song to me??? Like I never in a million years would I ever think Mike could pull off "be jumpin" as a verb...and he can't....and i love it...because it's saved by the heartbreaking sincerity in the line "you're just a piece of shit, but I can overlook it today"

Ok, I think I need to read the lyrics to Five Seconds...lol...hold on... mmmmm.....nah.....I stand by my interpretation, ahahah (but agree to disagree)...as an example "choking on my ABCs all night" to me refers to that first aid thing - ABC: airway, breathing, circulation - when you're trying to revive someone who's unconscious "You are the air that I breathe! The counting of the chest pumps), and then also refers to the awkwardness of infatuation, when you're so preoccupied with someone that you stumble over the little things. I mean...I might be too literal about it, but I just like the idea of Mike feeling a certain way about the mixture of horror and love and cinematic drama of falling love with a person who is actively dying and someone nearly dead having to choose between sweet release and clawing their way back for the person administering CPR.
