Power was an intoxicating thing. “You must’ve caught them in a foul mood. Must be your luck,” he continued as he walked down the board bridging his boat. This was escape. Rescue. How odd that his savior looked more devil than angel. Testing, he wondered, "I’m beginning to doubt you’ve still the strength left in you.”
