it is SO criminally underappreciated in this fandom. it's so fucking good.

it's a werewolf/vampire au where the monsters actually feel monstrous. this version of caitlyn is an ancient vampire who's like so disconnected from her humanity because of being alive for so long and the necessary emotional distance she had to create while existing at the right hand of her sire, ambessa.

vi is a newly turned werewolf who doesn't know what's going on and who starts the story as a groundskeeper at caitlyn's estate who catches her eye. reluctantly, she accepts caitlyn's help to deal with her new condition.

it's got such a beautiful atmosphere. genuinely like creepy, gorgeous silver-screen monster movie vibes. the sensory details are incredible, the smut scene is brilliantly written and so hot. absolutely electric chemistry between caitlyn and vi - it's all so loaded. and oh my god - this is such a perfect caitlyn to me. she's so scary. she's SUCH a loser. just absolutely fucking pathetic. but also kinda sad. but also sometimes you want to shake her. but also she's hot and so down bad for vi.
