I would say #stayWoke, but How could you still be sleep? Every 28 hours an unarmed Black person is murdered by the police. They are attempting to desensitize us from mourning our own! I see the posts calling for us to #prayforBaltimore... We prayed for 400 years, and they still killed us! We protested the way they wanted us to for 50 years, and they still killed us! I urge you to reconsider what the media paints as riots, this is not a riot this is resistance! I urge you to rethink telling those in the struggle to be passive and nonviolent because there has never been a time when our nonviolence was met with kindness from the police - remember we were nonviolent, they sicked dogs, they fire hosed us, they killed us. We can't afford to lose another generation to acquiescence and police brutality. I dont mourn windows. I dont mourn cars. I mourn my Black siblings who will never see the sun again because of the police.
