Let’s dive in the Word today 🤿 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 📖Matthew 26:6-13 NIV 📖 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Mary anointed Jesus’ head with expensive perfume/oil. Jesus says that that action was to prepare Him for His burial, but did Mary know that? Was Mary INTENTIONALLY doing this action to prep Jesus to be buried? The text doesn’t say that Mary fully understood WHY she anointed Jesus’ head with oil. It says she does it and then follows with Jesus’ response. When Mary used her best and people started talking down on and around her, Jesus came to her defense and understanding and correction. All Mary did was was be in alignment and abide. Mary did. Jesus responds. ✔️ —- Learning lesson and challenge: The oil Mary used was not cheap. She gave what she knew would be the best. If He was sitting right here in front of me, what would I have to offer? How intentional would I be if I spoke to Him? I may not have expensive oil or perfume in a fancy alabaster box but I’ve got my heart. Ive got my mind too, to give. Everything I’ve got, I need to be in His hands (because He can do way more with it than I can).
