Am I asking for too much to just want the women of resident evil to have their own games? Like an Ada spy game would slap so hard, Jill and Claire teaming up or Sherry and Claire, it's insane to me that Leon had a whole ass reunion with Sherry but not with Claire, the woman who got her out of racoon city??? Ugh this game man

But at the end of the day we have to realize Capcom IS a business first and foremost so in anything they're going to use the characters that will make them money like L eon, so they'll keep milking him no matter what.

2. My Top Five Favorite Relationships: Okay, tumblr, for some random reason, has decided the word length is too long and therefore won’t post it unless I cut something out (even though I’ve made posts longer than this, Tumblr that little shit) so Im just going to have to make a separate post for that.

5. Headcanons:

Piodon had a Mother Gothel-like relationship with Diabal and Triton.

While he might not necessarily be narcissistic, anyone who raises their siblings to be killing machines to use and discard as they please are definitely going to make problematic parenting decisions.

I have zero doubts in my mind that Piodon isolated Diabal and Triton from any relationships outside of his preapproved “friends” he had watch over them in his absence.

On top of that, I definitely see Piodon as someone who would guilt trip and emotionally manipulative his siblings to control them. If we were to ever explore Piodon and Diabal’s relationship pre-betrayal, I bet we’re going to see a pattern of this kind of behavior.

The Thaumaturges nag Liselotte about her smoking.

Okay, as someone from a family of smokers, I can almost guarantee this is true.

While I highly doubt any low ranking members of the Inquisition bugged Liselotte about her smoking, (criticizing your hot-headed boss about their personal habits is not the best career move.) people of an equal or higher rank definitely did.

I bet you good money Ullmina and Santori have preached to Liselotte about the dangers of smoking like they’re veteran doctors, Von Teppes probably teased her about it, and Verone, being the typical eleven year old, definitely admonished Liselotte for smoking and probably declared something like “When I’m Marshal, I’m outlawing cigerettes.”

Dragunov definitely kept out of it since he’s a “don’t cause shit and there won’t be none” type of guy. Torque kept out of it too, but he looks like the type to judge from afar.

.....Damn, I had some other ones but now I can’t remember them for the life of me. Go figure.

7. I ship Meliselotte, Vonque, and....Seho? Oceth? Whatever the ship name for Seth and Ocoho is.

Meliselotte is powerful af, and since Melie and Liselotte are so tough and hard working, it makes the fluffy moments even cuter! I can’t think of anything better than the duo fighting in sync with each other bantering all the while, or moments where they’re holding hands, or Melie running her fingers through Liselotte’s hair.(Interactions with Dragunov would be veerryyy awkward though. Lol)

To me, Vonque is a self care crack ship. Von Teppes needs Torque for validation and stability, since Von Teppes seems to put his worth in what he can accomplish for others, and lacks the maturity to think things through. Torque needs Von Teppes for affection and relaxation, since Torque’s a workaholic who seems like he lacks a lot of emotional comfort in his life.

Seth and Ocoho is a power couple like Meliselotte but with a more preppy, chaotic dumbass nature to it. One moment they’re fighting in sync, bantering, being badass, and the next they’re throwing marshmallows at each other and trying to figure out whether what they’re fighting is a cow or a nemesis.

Absolutely!

Okay so they did show gameplay in the both first person and third person showing Grace carrying the lighter which I really liked! They also shared a little more of the game's story as it's set 30 year after the Raccoon City incident (So the games taking place in 2028 I assume).

They talked a lil more about Grace's character about how she's a bit more introverted than other RE protagonists but still capable of handling guns.

They also did talk about L eon and how they wanted him to be the protagonist of the game but realize that he would not be a good fit for a scary game at all (I feel vindicated lmao) but idk they still might pull a RE8 Chris with him which I'm kinda nervous about.

They had a section where they discussed Raccoon City and the survivors but nothing more so I'm guessing they're saving it for later but ngl it's got me thinking we might see some more characters in the game (I'm too optimistic lol).

Oh also yeah they didn't put the whole interview in the showcase they put bits of it on the Capcom website thing where you need an ID (fuck that), literally one of the bits was talking about Alyssa and I'm so upset by that.

Unfortunately we do have a name for him it's Nathan Dempsey :(

also i looked into it and apparently the painting appears in multiple re games. i guess capcom rlly likes it

1. Verone. I can’t dislike that kid. God knows what bullshit the Inquisition put in his head. I’d go on, but you’ve already heard me talk about all the reasons why Verone is a victim in all this.

Putting that aside, his Miracle makes him the second most threatening Thaumaturge in my opinion. There’s just so few ways to defend against it; the sorcerers are lucky Verone is still an untrained eleven year old or the Cyfandir arc would of been even more brutal.

2. Dragunov. If he hadn’t pulled the casanova bullshit in the Cyfandir arc then he’d be number one. (Reminds me way too much of those cheesy 80s spy movies.) Otherwise, he’s a really cool character who’s aloof attitude and pettiness towards assholes is something I can get behind.

His Miracle makes him the sixth most threatening Thaumaturge to me (and also the least morbid.). While he’s undoubtedly formidable, I’d still prefer to fight him over the other Thaumaturges any day of the week.

3. Von Teppes. He’s kinda likable in his own idiotic ways. Honestly, I wish he would of stuck around for a variety of reasons. (That I plan to post about soon.). I’m not rating his Miracle since we never got to see it though.

4. Liselotte. She’s got a long way to go as a character, but I could easily see her shooting up to number 2 if she gets a redemption arc and mellows out on her hatred for sorcerers. Like Melie, I love her bluntness and take no shit attitude.

I have to rate her Miracle as the seventh on the threatening scale. While it’s more brutal than Dragunov’s Miracle, his seems a tad bit stronger to me. You can dodge swords and retreat, but as long as he has arrows, there’s no getting away from Dragunov.

5. Santori. Asshole talks a lot of shit, approves of enslaving the infected, acts blood thirsty, and his most heinous crime; wears socks with sandals! Only suburban soccer dads on the PTA get to legally wear socks with sandals.

I would have to rate Santori as a three on the threatening scale. The guy gives me Attack on Titan flash backs. If Radiant was a little more gorey, then all that would be missing are giant walls and the Ackermans.

6. Torque. While we don’t know much about him as a character, he’s still the second worst because he’s in charge and he’s condoning all this shit. The Barons wouldn’t have gotten so far with their plans on taking over Cyfandir and enslaving the infected if he hadn’t given them support, an eleven year old wouldn’t have been given a deadly Miracle and thrown on the battlefield if he hadn’t approved of it, Ullmina wouldn’t have been set lose on the world if he hadn’t approved of it, and more stuff I can’t mention because it’s a spoiler for volume 14.

Piodon or Ullmina or somebody else better be controlling him like a living meat puppet because otherwise this guy has NO excuse for letting all that shit go down.

As for his Miracle, I have to rate him as the fourth most threatening Thaumaturge. His Miracle is powerful and he knows how to use it but it’s not nearly as destructive as the others.

7. Ullmina. This woman is a serial killer and possibly a rapist and you can’t convince me otherwise. Just look at any time she appears in the Cyfandr arc; you can’t look at that and honest to god tell me you don’t think this woman has a killing field somewhere.

And you know what makes her the most dislikable Thaumaturge? She’s doing this for the pleasure of it all. Everyone else at least had their reasons rooted in some twisted sense of moral righteousness but Ullmina seems to use fighting the sorcerers as an excuse to do the messed up shit she does. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the fact that Piodon keeps to himself and remains under Torque’s protection then I’m pretty sure he’d just be another body in Ullmina’s forementioned killing field right now.
