I ask this as someone who has played none of them somehow, but how many of the games have you played? I'm gonna include v-pets and digivices in this. (Well, I played with some of the latter.)
Haha honestly I’ve only played games that I’ve borrowed from friends. The fighting games mostly. Digimon Rumble and the one for the gameboy. I think I played one of the Digimon Worlds at one point, but I never actually owned any of the games myself.

I know you watched the sub and saw them coming, but in watching the dub and hearing the old voices again, did you get to relive the character reveals again?
What a lovely question! In some of the characters I hadn’t heard some of them speak yet. Regarding some of the Digimon and Joe (who wasn’t speaking in any previews I had seen) But in my fangirling excitement everything was just like revisiting old friends. Hearing Tai speak and seeing the first clear image of his face during the opening credits was great. Every time someone would come on screen I’d be like “Tai!” “Sora!” “Izzy!” things like that. I’d say hearing Izzy, Sora, Mimi, Tentomon and Gomamon were the best parts for me. I had heard bits from everyone else before, but seeing these characters again, acting as themselves in this older version of themselves was incredibly satisfying.
I hadn’t had the opportunity to hear Gomamon or Tentomon so I was excited for their return, and even if they had few lines in this first movie it still made me happy. Same with Patamon, always.
The new voices were great too. Everyone is older so there isn’t a problem if their voices are different.
I joke about Vic being Matt, but he is a great actor and he did the angsty boy justice. JYB made TK such a suave mofo, its great to see that little boy all grown up and being so sassy. Kari’s actor sounded like an older version of Miller’s character, so it was really nice.
I had the opportunity to look at bonus footage of the actors talking about their characters and the way Joe’s actor spoke about portrayal was right on. He had said he wasn’t trying to copy the old voice, but he did watch a few of the original episodes to get an idea for his voice, and I think it was done very well.
I don't have a headphone brand of choice, but memorial day is coming up in a little over a month and lots of sites have big sales then.
